The University of New Mexico women's golf team is ranked 19th in the nation in a preseason poll by Golfweek magazine. UCLA is ranked No. 1. Fellow Mountain West Conference members TCU (No. 23) and UNLV (No. 27) are also ranked in the top-30.

UNM opens its fall season Sept. 18-20, hosting the Branch Law Firm Dick McGuire Invitational at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course (par-73, 6,176 yards).

The 16-team field includes the host Lobos, BYU, Campbell, Colorado, Colorado State, Hawai'i, Indiana, New Mexico State, Pepperdine, San Diego State, TCU, Texas, UC-Davis, UNLV, UTEP and Wyoming.
