Former Lobo women's soccer player Rachel Fields begins her first official season back with the program as the Director of Operations. In that position she will handle many of the day-to-day duties of running a Division I soccer program.

Fields, who was a high school teammate of current senior Jordan Craig, will work closely with UNM's marketing department to develop marketing initiatives. She will also work with UNM's game day staff for all of UNM's game-day needs. She will also aid in coordinating travel schedules, coordinating summer camps, and a variety of other duties.

Fields played at UNM fro 2007-10 and earned a degree in history from UNM.

NEW MEXICO
Returning starter with experience, speed and goal scoring ability ... has the ability to create in the midfield and is very effective on defense ... high school teammate of fellow Lobo Jordan Craig.

2009 JUNIOR SEASON
Started all 21 games for the Lobos...had two game-winning goals for the season...recoreded three goals...had three assists...logged 1563 minutes...took 43 sohots on the season...had 18 shots on goal...earned 2009 Fall Academic All-Conference honors.

2008 - SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played in 18 matches and made her first career start against Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Sept. 12 ... scored her first career goal against Central Arkansas on Sept. 28 and notched her first career assist against Fairleigh Dickinson on Sept. 14 ... logged 983 minutes ... earned 2008 Fall Academic All-Conference honors.

2007 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Saw action in nine games ... logged 216 minutes and managed to get off 4 shots ... was a fall 2007 Academic All-Conference Award winner.

HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered in soccer at Amarillo High School for head coach Stacey McPherson ... led AHS to three consecutive District 2-5A championships from 2005-07 ... named the 2007 District 2-5A Most Valuable Player of the Year ... two-time first team all-district nominee in 2006 and 2007 ... voted as the AHS Team Most Valuable Player her junior and senior years ... won the bi-district championship, area championship and reached the semifinals her senior season ... academically, won the Super Sandie Award four times.
