Lobo Women's Soccer Finishes Fourth Nationally in Attendance

The NCAA has officially released attendance numbers for the 2011 women's soccer season, and for the second year in a row, the New Mexico Lobos have finished fourth nationally in attendance. UNM this past season averaged a record 2,032 fans over its 11 home games, bringing in 22,350 fans. The average topped the 1,953 that the squad averaged in 2010 when UNM won the regular-season title. In 2011, the Lobos made it back-to-back with both the regular-eason and tournament titles. The Lobos have not lost a conference match since the 2009 season. The University of Portland led the nation in attendance, averaging 3,110 fans per game. BYU finished second with 2,882 fans and Texas A&M was third with 2,630 fans. The next closest team in the Mountain West was TCU, whichnished seventh. The Lobos have now finished in the top 20 in attendance in eight straight years, and in the top 10 in six of those eight, with four straight. UNM NCAA Attendance Finishes Year Pl.
