UNM Drops Close 2-1 Game To ASU
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The University of New Mexico women’s soccer team was defeated 2-1 by no. 23 ranked ASU on Sunday night at the UNM Soccer Complex. Thirty-six minutes into the second half of the game, Erchen Theys broke free in the ASU midfield and fired a shot that soared over the head of keeper Kelly Fitzgerald, to make the final score 2-1. The goal was Theys’ first of the year and fifth in her career .
