Complete Release in PDF Format Auburn, Ala.- The University of New Mexico women's soccer team was defeated 2-0 tonight by Auburn in the first match of its two-game road series. The loss brings the Lobos to 5-4 while Auburn improves to 8-1. Sarah Steinmann opened up the scoring for Auburn in the 18th minute of play after receiving a cross from Jacqueline Schwarz that she was able to put away. "We definitely dominated in spurts thoughout the game but we just couldn't put it together and find the back of the net," said head coach Kit Vela. The second Auburn goal came with only a minute and ten seconds left in the first half. Kristen Stewart was able to scoot by a Lobo defender to convert for the Tigers' game-clinching score.
