Four minutes later, Rachael Addison (Tyler, Texas) collected a loose ball from 18 yards out for the second Lobo score. At the fifteen minute mark, Michelle Longmire went one-on-one and beat Lady Trojan keeper Hanna Haile, to make the score 3-0. The Lobo scoring show was far from over though, as UNM would notch six more goals before the end of the game beginning with LeAnne Hendren (Belen, N.M.), who recorded her first goal of the year in the 28th minute. Six minutes later, Coco D'Angelo (Mission Viejo, Calif.) connected on a header to make it a 5-0 game. Casie Deegan (Lakewood, Colo.) then brought the score to 8-0 with eight minutes left in the game when she connected on a cross from Hendren. Michelle Longmire topped off the New Mexico scoring rampage in the 86th minute on a breakaway goal that solidified the score at 9-0. Goalkeeper Kristen Winters (Lakewood, Colo.) recorded the shutout, her third of the season, and was called on to make only two saves. The 9-0 margin is the largest for New Mexico since September 12, 1993 when the Lobos beat Oral Roberts by the same score. Up next, the Lobos travel to the Pacific Northwest to take on Oregon State on Oct. 4 and Portland State on Oct. 6 before starting conference play the following weekend with a road series against San Diego State and UNLV.
