Stevens: New Mexico Lobos Softball 2012 Season Preview

Coach Erica Beach's Lobos are facing a challenging schedule, but are expecting to show improvement in 2012

JUNIOR SEASON (2011)- Started all 45 games at third base in her first season with the Lobos and compiled a .931 fielding percentage...hit .303 as the leadoff hitter, with 46 hits on 152 at-bats...had three doubles, a team-best (fourth in the Mountain West) three triples, and notched 13 RBI...stole a team-best six bases on nine attempts... recipient of the MW Scholar-Athlete Award with a 3.58 GPA...recipient of the MW Academic All-Conference Award for spring 2011...named an All-America Scholar Athlete by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

PIMA CC-Played the 2009 and 2010 seasons at Pima Community College for head coach Armando Quiroz...earned All-American honors as a sophomore...made First Team All-America for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and was a Second Team All-America selection for the NJCAA...hit .467 as a sophomore with 90 runs scored, 51 RBIs, 14 doubles, 11 triples, five home runs and 32 stolen bases...she led Pima CC to a 57-11 record and were conference champions...as a true freshman, Ingram hit .438 in 60 games played with 51 runs scored, 25 RBIs and 17 stolen bases...other junior college awards include being named a two-time NFCA West All-Region and All-ACCAC selection and earned the "Girls Got Game" NFCA award for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 years...named a two-time Academic All-American...earned the Distinguished Academic All-American award in 2009-10...made the Pima CC Athletic Directors honor roll both years and graduated with a two-year degree with honors.
