NEW MEXICO - Quit the team after deciding not to return from a medical redshirt season...pitcher with speed and movement...throws in the mid-to-upper 60s. FRESHMAN SEASON (2008) - Received a medical redshirt after injuring her arm early in the season...made 12 appearances and finished with a 3-3 record while recording a 4.30 ERA...threw 44 innings, making six starts and throwing three complete games. HIGH SCHOOL - A 2007 graduate of Wheat Ridge High School in Wheat Ridge, Colo....was an all-conference selection in 2004 and 2006...named first team all-state and All-Colorado her senior year...selected as all-state honorable mention in 2005...was a part of the Farmers 2003 State championship team...reached the state championship game in 2004 and 2005...two-time Jefferson County League champs...lettered in track and softball while at WRHS. PERSONAL - Born March 9, 1989, in Los Angeles, Calif....daughter of Craig and Teresa Nelson...has two brothers, Rian (19) and Chris (30)...enjoys watching movies and playing racquetball...majoring in Psychology. |
