CAREER HIGHLIGHTS - Kelly Ninemire was the ace of the pitching staff at New Mexico in 2007 and 2008...during her UNM career, she has cracked the top 10 in numerous pitching categories ... she is No. 10 on the all-time wins list with 30, she ranks eighth in career appearances with 75 and her 30 complete games is good for ninth all-time...her 131 strikeouts rank eight in a single-season and she is tied for 10th on the career lists...after only two seasons, she has a 30-27 career record and has been named the Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week numerous times...prior to transferring to New Mexico, she was a NFCA and National Junior College Athletic Association All-American at Odessa Junior College. SENIOR SEASON (2008) - Finished the year with a 16-15 overall record and a 3.60 ERA...made 40 appearances including 35 starts and 16 complete games...threw 182 2/3 innings for New Mexico and had 131 strikeouts...battled in the circle using movement and hitting her spots to be effective. JUNIOR SEASON (2007) - Quickly adjusted to the Division I level and emerged as the No. 1 pitcher for New Mexico...made 35 appearances which ranked ninth in the all-time single season records, while her 27 starts tied for sixth best in a season...finished the year with a 3.90 earned run average in 159.2 innings of work...threw 14 complete games including three shutouts...struck out a team-high 89 batters and held opponents to a .278 average...named the Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week on March 20. ODESSA JUNIOR COLLEGE - Played two seasons at Odessa Junior College...named an NFCA and NJCAA All-American in 2006 after posting an 22-8 record with an 0.89 ERA...led her team to the NJCAA National Tournament where they placed fifth and finished with a 42-23-2 record...honors included being named the WJCAC MVP, WJCAC All-Region V First Team and NFCA/NJCAA Division I All-Region West First Team...pitched 195 innings in 2006, recording 215 strikeouts. HIGH SCHOOL - A four-year letterwinner in softball at Prosper High School...finished her senior year with a 28-2 record, 0.34 ERA, 20 shutouts, 11 no-hitters, 6 perfect games and 330 strikeouts, and helped PHS reach the regional finals...Ninemire finished her PHS career with a 78-14 overall record and 838 strikeouts...named to the all-district 12-AA team four times and earned the most valuable player honor in 2003 and 2004...selected by the Dallas Morning News as an all-area player her junior and senior seasons...two-time all-state (2003-04) and MVP of the all-star game her senior year...named the TGCA Softball Player of the Year in 2004.
