Leslie Shevlin is entering her fourth season as an assistant coach under Tracy Ljone. Shevlin, a four-year letter winner in swimming at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, also spent two years as a graduate assistant at Duquesne University.

At Duquesne, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, Smith worked with the men's and women's swim teams while pursuing her master's degree in Liberal Studies.

A native of Taylorsville, N.C., Shevlin graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and a minor in German. She received the Student-Athlete Leadership Award and was the vice president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Shevlin was also a four-time Carolina Athletic Association Scholar Athlete and Seahawk Academic Award recipient.
