Seven Lobos Named to All-Conference Team

New Mexico has highest number of selections in eight years

SOPHOMORE: Improved greatly in her second year diving for UNM. Qualified for NCAA Zones off all three boards, one of only eight Mountain West divers to accomplish the feat...named MW diver of the week twice (Jan. 16 & Feb.6)...finished second off the 1-meter and fourth off the 3-meter and platform at the 2013 MW Swimming and Diving Championships...placed third off 3-meter board at Zones to qualify for NCAA Championships were she took 24th in the event...was named to the 2013 MW All-Conference list.

FRESHMAN: Had a solid first season diving for Coach Abel Sanchez...qualified for NCAA Zones off all three boards, one of only five Mountain West divers to accomplish the feat...was named MW Diver of the Week for the week of Feb. 15...Finished fifth of the 1-meter, sixth of the 3-meter and 12th off the platform at the 2012 MW Championships...Timm placed 21st in the 1-meter during NCAA Zones, she was also 33rd off the 3-meter...was named a 2011-2012 Academic All-MW selection.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Sauk Rapids-Rice HS in Sauk Rapids, Minn....dove for coach Cassie Mrozek...2010, 2011 All-Conference selection...All-American Diver...Athlete of the Year as a senior...broke/set two pool records and one school record as a junior, was sectional champion, Central Lake Champion and State Champion on the 1-meter springboard...as a senior: broke/set eight pool records, two school records and a meet record, repeated as sectional, conference and state champion...also lettered in gymnastics and track and field.

PERSONAL: Born April 21, 1993 in Sauk Rapids, Minn....daughter of Debbie and Mike Timm...has three siblings: Jessica, Jennifer and Jeff...hobbies include working out, being outdoors and volunteering with Special Olympics...favorite food is homemade protein bars...favorite athlete is Shawn Johnson...member of the National Honor Society...four-time Academic Letterman and Honor Roll member...was an Academic All-American in 2011...plans to major in Exercise Science at UNM.
