ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - First year Lobo Swimming and Diving Head Coach Kunio Kono has announced the three athletes from his team who will be team captains for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. The group is composed of two swimmers, Marissa Campbell and Heidi Zeiger, and the only senior diver on the team this season, Aubrey Bush.

Campbell is a 2009 graduate of Manzano High School where she was an All-American in the three events; the 100-yard fly, 100-yard back and the 50-yard free. She won five state titles over the course of her high school career, and she was named All-MWC for her performances in the 100-yard back and 100- and 50-yard free as a freshman. Campbell owns the school record in both the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard freestyle.

Zeiger is a junior from Sylmar, Calif. The 2010 graduate of Bishop Alemany High School is a two-time Mountain West Academic All-Conference and Scholar-Athlete honoree. She specializes in the freestyle events and is part of the team who holds the second fastest 800-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley relay times in school history.

Bush, a native of Franktown, Colo., makes her return to the boards this season after not competing due to injuries last year. She is a three time All-MWC Selection and NCAA Diving Zone qualifier who was the MW Platform Champion in 2010 and runner-up in 2011. Bush is also the school record holder off both the platform and 3-meter springboard.

The Lobos are back in the water this week, and they have commenced training for both the season and their Oct. 5 season opening showdown against conference foe Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo.
