2008-09: Abou-Zekry, who was named Mountain West Conference Player of the Year and was also named to the MWC All-Conference team in singles and doubles with partner Hayman, went 25-11 this year in singles, spending most of her time at the No. 1 position. The Cairo, Egypt product posted a 16-8 record in spring play taking 12 in two sets. Abou-Zekry won eight out of 10 sets in her last five matches and was 24-1 this season when she won the first set. The senior was 8-2 when the team won. Abou-Zekry ends her New Mexico career 83-50 in singles and was ranked three out of her four years at New Mexico as well as being named to the All-Conference team her last three years.

Abou-Zekry made it to No. 8 on New Mexico's most career singles wins with 83 and No. 9 on New Mexico's most combined singles and doubles wins in a career with 149.

In doubles play Abou-Zekry spent most of the season teamed up with partner Hayman at the No. 1 spot. The duo went 9-8 and won by an average of three games.

Fall 2007: Returned from off-season surgery to win her first match at the ITA regional tournament... ended with a 2-3 singles mark and 2-4 in doubles with three different partners.

2006-07: Named ITA Scholar Athlete... garnered MWC Academic all-conference honors ... selected to the All-MWC team in singles... garnered MWC Academic all-conference honors... had the most combined wins (45) for the Lobos... named MWC Player of the Week Apr. 19, 2007... nationally ranked as high as No. 62 in singles... finished as the only ranked player on the team with a rank of 116... went 12-7 at the No. 1 spot and stayed undefeated (4-0) at No. 2 for a finish of 27-9 in singles... collected a doubles record of 18-17... had a 6-3 doubles record with partner Iva Gersic, including 3-2 at No. 1 in the spring... played at No. 2 with partner Jennifer Ryba to finish 5-5... given the team's Most Valuable Player and Most Wins awards.
