She is the daughter of Lisa Kuuttila and Bill Szaroletta and has one younger sister Sara. She plans to major in chemical engineering. Her favorite athlete is Juan Martin del Potro. She also trained as a junior at the Lobo Club.

Head Coach Roy Canada on Kuuttila:

"Anna (as she likes to be called) is a hard worker who has steadily improved in the last two years. She is a very determined competitor that figures out her opponents and finds a way to grind her way to victory. She has a very steady groundstroke game with surprisingly penetrating depth. Also look for her making an impact in her first year and steadily improve as she gains more and more experience. She is a very tough opponent to beat."

Assistant Coach Michelle Heidbrink on Kuuttila:

"Anna is such a smart player and continues to improve every time she steps on the court. She is a hard worker and gives 100% on and off the court, amazing work ethic, and one of the smarter players I've coached. She figures out her opponents very well and is always willing to try new strategies. A true competitor and solid baseliner with some great results already in her first fall as a collegiate player."
