Got into the lineup at the end of the spring in '08... has a great doubles sense... good forehand and has good ball control... has a good serve and has learned to discipline her game.
2008-09: Sotirchos went 8-17 in singles play this season and 6-13 in spring...7-0 when she wins the first set...only three of Sotirchos's matches split sets and she won two or the three. In doubles Sotirchos posted an 8-17 record splitting her time with Abou-Zekry and Victoria Tessmar. Sotirchos ends her collegiate career with a 23-46 record in singles and 27-38 in doubles. Sotirchos earned MWC Scholar Athlete honors from 2006 to 2008. She has been named to the MWC Academic All-Conference from 2006 to 2008 and has been named an ITA Scholar Athlete from 2007 to 2008.
2007-08: Finished the season with 7-13 overall singles...is pronounced (so-TEAR-hos) record and 11-11 in doubles...went 2-3 in singles and 4-6 in doubles during the spring...was 1-1 at the the No. 2 doubles spot with Mackenzie White.
Fall 2007: Started the UNM Individual Invite 3-0 in singles and 2-0 with partner Mackenzie White for doubles... Went 5-9 overall in singles... collected a 7-5 mark in doubles with three different partners. 2006-07: Named ITA Scholar Athlete... honored as a MWC Scholar Athlete... selected to the MWC Academic All-Conference team... ended the season with a 4-9 overall singles record and 5-7 in doubles... played primarily at No. 6, finishing 2-6 in the spring... went 4-4 in doubles at No. 3 with Nora Quintal. 2005-06: Finished her first season with an overall doubles record of 3-3... played at the No. 3 doubles spot with Nora Quintal and posted a spring record of 1-2... ended the fall season with a 2-1 doubles record. High School: A four year letterwinner in tennis at St. Paul VI Catholic High School... helped team win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship four years straight... went undefeated in singles and doubles at the WCAC championship sophomore, junior and senior year... came in second place in singles and doubles at the WCAC championship as a freshman... highest national ranking has been No. 101 in singles in the Girl's 18... went undefeated for the past two seasons in all high school tennis matches... was named 2005 MVP... won doubles in national open in Girl's 16.
