Frequently Asked Questions

When will the suites and club seats be completed?
They will be available beginning the 2010-11 basketball season.

How much do suites cost?
The price range for the suites, depending on location, is $40,000 - $45,000 annually.

How long are the leases?
The leases start at a minimum of three years but will also have five, seven and 10-year options to lock in the original price.

Will that cost include a tax deductible donation to the department?
Approximately 75% of your suite purchase will be considered a donation. 80% of that donation will be tax deductible per IRS regulations.

How many seats does that include?
Each suite holder would receive 20 tickets for their suite. The actual number of seats in each suite ranges from 16-20 seats depending on location.

Where do suite holders park?
Each suite would be allotted five parking passes that will be for a private VIP lot on the west side of the arena. This parking is the closest lot to the dedicated suite/club entrance.

Would we be able to share a suite with someone?
Yes. You would work with UNM Athletics on separate lease agreements for each person in the group if necessary. Each member of the group must sign the same length of lease as everyone else in the suite.

How is the location of my suite determined?
The first factor in determining a location is what price you are willing to pay for a suite. The prices are $40,000, $42,500 and $45,000. After that, we prioritize for donor level, lifetime giving to the Lobo Club, corporate sponsorship support and campaign pledges.

What if the suite is shared--how do you prioritize then?
We take the total support of the group and come up with an average based on the priority formula. For example, if two donors were sharing a suite, I would add up the support of both donors in the categories listed above and divide it by two. If you were sharing a suite but only had one suite lease holder, then the priority would be based on who that single lease holder.

Will there be a special entrance or elevators for suite holders?
There will be a private suite entrance in the northwest corner of the arena with a private staircase (one level of stairs). There will also be elevator access to the suites in the southwest corner and northeast corner of the arena.

What are the hours of operation?
The suites will be available two hours prior to tip-off so you may come and have dinner and entertain friends, family and clients prior to the game in the club or in your suite.

Are we able to decorate the suite with our favorite artwork, sports memorabilia or company logo?
Each suite will be designed by UNM and you will not be allowed to add to the décor. If you wanted to hang a sign or something special regarding your family or business, we could discuss further about approval.

Will there be catering for suites?
Our concessionaire, Sodexo, will have full catering capabilities for the suites and club areas. Sodexo does an excellent job both locally and nationally I providing great food and service to arena and stadium patrons. There will also be a pre-game buffet available for suite and club seat holders in the club area prior to each home game.

Will suite holders have access to the club area?
Absolutely. The club area is right next to the suites so if you wanted to visit the club prior or during the game or continue in the privacy of your own suite, you have both options to choose from.

What are some of the amenities including with being a suite holder?
The suites will feature very comfortable stadium seating, a flatscreen television, small kitchenette, coat closet, refrigerator, comfortable lounge seating for entertainment and access to a suite manager and concierge. It is our job to make your game experience as enjoyable as possible for you and your guests.

Do I have access to my suite for other events in The Pit?
Yes. There are many other events in The Pit ranging from concerts and professional wrestling to high school basketball tournaments and professional bullriding. You would have to purchase tickets for those events in your suite but would have the same access to catering and the club as you would at a Lobo basketball game. If you choose not to use your suite for outside events, we would leave your suite empty for the event unless there was a separate agreement between the suite holder and UNM Athletics.

How do I make my commitment to purchase a suite?
We will have you sign a letter-of-intent and you will need to make a $5,000 non-refundable deposit that will ultimately go toward the purchase of a suite.
