DAY ONE RESULTS | LIVE STATS

FORT COLLINS, COLO. — The University of New Mexico men’s golf team opened play Monday at the Ram Masters Invitational at the Fort Collins Country Club in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Lobos finished day one tied for 13th out of 19 teams, scoring a 293 in round one and a 294 in round two for a two-round total of 27-over 587.

The Lobos are represented by redshirt senior Andre Garcia, juniors Sean Carlon and Augustin Holé, sophomore Sam Dickey and freshman Galven Green. Carlon and Green both shot a 7-over 147 over two rounds, tying for second on the team. Green also continued his quick start to his collegiate career, finishing the day strong with a 72 in round two (tied for the lowest round on the day for UNM). The highlight for the Lobos was Garcia, as he played steady throughout the day, posting a 72 in both rounds for a team-best 4-over 144. 

Colorado State, the host of the tournament, leads the field, finishing the day with a 12-under 548. The Rams set the tournament record for a single round in the first round at a 12-under 268. The rest of the top three consists of the University of Missouri – Kansas City (2-over 562) and Wyoming (3-over 563).
