Lobo Women’s Golf Concludes Regular Season at PING/ASU Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concludes the regular season this week with a trip to Arizona for the PING/ASU Invitational. The event, hosted by Arizona State, will run Thursday-Saturday at the 6,570-yard, par-72 Papago Golf Course in Phoenix.

The tournament will feature one round of play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.

The tournament has an elite field of 17 schools, all ranked in the top 80 nationally, including eight of the top 14 teams in the country. The Lobos, ranked No. 70 nationally, will compete against No. 1 Stanford, No. 4 UCLA, No. 6 USC, No. 7 Texas, No. 11 Northwestern, No. 12 Oregon, No. 13 Arizona State and No. 14 Arizona. California, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Oregon State, Denver, Baylor, Colorado and New Mexico State round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Lauren Lehigh, Myah McDonald, Lisa-Marie Pagliano, Maria Caparros Levin and Annie Saechueng. Rebecca Galasso is competing in the event as an individual.

New Mexico has three top-six finishes in their eight events this season, finishing T-5th when it hosted the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational and a sixth-place finish at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in its last event of the fall. The Lobos had a T-6th finish against an elite field at The Show at Spanish Trail in Las Vegas earlier this month.
