ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team travels to California this week for the 2024 Mountain West Championship. The tournament will run Tuesday-Thursday at the 6,286-yard, par-72 Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.

The tournament will feature one round of play on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat and the tournament will have live coverage each day on a free webstream.

The Lobos are the reigning Mountain West champions, having won last year’s title at Mission Hills. It was New Mexico’s record 10th Mountain West title, including the second one in the past three seasons.

This year’s Mountain West Championship will have a field of nine teams, with seven ranked in the top 100 of the national rankings. The Lobos are ranked No. 74 and are joined in the field by No. 26 San Jose State, No. 52 Colorado State, No. 67 UNLV, No. 89 San Diego State, No. 95 Nevada, No. 100 Fresno State, along with Boise State and Wyoming.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Lauren Lehigh, Myah McDonald, Lisa-Marie Pagliano, Maria Caparros Levin and Annie Saechueng. Ciara Rushmer is the alternate.

New Mexico has three top-six finishes in their nine events this season, finishing T-5th when it hosted the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational and a sixth-place finish at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in its last event of the fall. The Lobos had a T-6th finish against an elite field at The Show at Spanish Trail in Las Vegas last month.
